Earning House Points
Each character earns their own points separately. If someone has multiple characters with different houses each character's activity earns points separately. Adults can apply points to their previous house, or if they never attended Hogwarts, then the player can pick which house their points can go towards.
When you earn points, if it is something you do OOC, you can divide the points you earn between characters in any way you want. EX) You play Harry and Draco. You earn 20 points by helping create a site event. You can give Harry 10 points and Draco 10 points, or either of them 20 points, etc.
Create a post as a reply to this thread with how many, and a link to the action you took to earn the points. Once they are added to the points in the sidebar they will be added to the table below.

Ways to Earn Points
In Character - Professors can give and take points, within reason. In character there must be some sort of reason.
- If a professor seems to be unfair with points, then staff will balance it out with 'other professors' either subtracting or adding points.
- For doing something outstanding staff may award a character any number of points. This likely won't happen often but will be given out for special circumstances (ex. Harry beating the Basilisk might earn points despite no professor technically giving them away).
Creation
- Create Canon Character | 10 points
- Create Original Character | 10 points
- Create Wanted Ad | 5 points
- Create Plotter | 5 points
IC Threads & Posts
- Each IC post | 1 point
- Create New IC Thread | 5 points
- Finish IC Thread (10 or more posts) | 10 points
- Reach 200 IC Posts | 20 points
- Reach 500 IC Posts | 50 points
- Every 100 IC Posts after 500 | 10 points
Out of Character Actions
- Help Create Site Event | 20 points
- Advertise the Site | 1 point per advertisement (provide link when claiming)
- Bring in new member | 10 points (after approval of 1st character)
- Help new member | 10 points (new member posts to claim for you)
- Win Of the Month Award | 10 points
- Suggest Improvement to site | 5 points (once implemented)
- Suggest New Point Earning Activity | 5 points (once approved)
