- Astoria's first show of magic was when she was eight years old. She managed to levitate her kitten before he fell in the garden pond.
- She lives close to the McKinnon family, but immediately took a disliking to Ares. She didn't like how much time her sister spent with him. As time has progressed, she is still envious of their friendship and loathes Ares on principle.
- She first started having bouts of illness was during her first year at Hogwarts. Sometimes she is weak for days, and has to spend time in the hospital wing. She hates it there.
